Past Events
WEDA serves its membership with two Conferences per year
Each of these events offers an opportunity to network, gain timely insight into current legislative affairs impacting economic development, and best practices in economic development.
WEDA’s Annual Public Policy and Legislative Affairs Conference (aka Winter Conference) is especially devoted to the priorities of economic development organizations, cities, counties, ports, tribes, businesses, education, and community-based organizations. Additionally, this event includes economic development training for public officials and then advanced training for economic development practitioners. A reception with the legislators is part of the agenda.
Then, WEDA’s summer conferences are primarily dedicated to best practices, new initiatives, case studies, networking, etc. Both of these events provide the practitioners, those interested in learning more about economic development, and policy makers with tools to sharpen their effectiveness.
